Morganton man arrested on multiple felony charges

Morganton Public Safety arrested Jeremiah Tyler Kirby, 23, of Morganton, three times between Aug. 22 and Aug. 29.

After making bond on the first two instances, a search warrant executed at his residence led to Kirby’s third arrest. He remains in custody without bond.

The initial arrest occurred on the night of a reported breaking and entering on Lenoir Road. After discovering evidence of a detached outbuilding and vehicle on the same property being broken into, investigator C.J. Clark arrested and charged Kirby with breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony possession of stolen property.

Kirby made bond and on Aug. 26 violated probation, resulting in a second arrest in which he was released on bond once again.

Further investigation prompted authorities to execute a search warrant at Kirby’s residence, finding methamphetamine and a variety of stolen hand tools, power tools, automotive equipment, flooring tools, and fishing gear — resulting in a third arrest and another set of felony charges.
