Groundbreaking for Drexel's Community of Hands Project

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in downtown Drexel on Wednesday morning for the Community of Hands stained glass art project which is going to be located in the Downtown Drexel Park. Speakers for the event included Drexel Mayor Dennis Anthony, Brandon Settlemyre of Settlemyre Nursery, Joshua Singleton of Metawood Design Co., Beth Heile of the Burke River Trail, Bill Carroll, town manager of Drexel, and Dan Hoyle, who is both the artist for the project and president of Grow With Drexel. The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2027.
