The Nail Lounge & Co. adds modern touch to Roses Plaza

After 15 years perfecting her craft, nail technician Nena Caldwell has taken a bold step into business ownership with the opening of The Nail Lounge & Co. The business opened its doors on May 2, bringing upscale nail services and a fresh wave of energy to a space once home to a credit union.

In the Roses Shopping Plaza on East Fleming Drive, Caldwell said the salon is already drawing clients from Morganton and Marion. The grand opening celebration is scheduled for June 6.

The newly renovated space has transformed into a sleek, modern salon outfitted with black, white, and gold finishes. A bouquet of red roses greets customers at the door.

Caldwell, a local favorite known for her pedicures, stepped into entrepreneurship after 15 years in the beauty industry. With final inspections complete, a full renovation behind her, and a team of six licensed nail technicians, she’s confident the timing was right.

“I prayed about it, and I just felt like I was ready,” Caldwell said. “God has given me all the signs that I was ready, so I just went out and did it.”

The salon features five manicure and five pedicure stations, offering a variety of services starting at $30 for manicures and $40 for pedicures. Add-ons like masks and hot stones elevate the experience for clients seeking a luxurious touch.

To celebrate its official debut, The Nail Lounge & Co. will host a grand opening on June 6, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The all-day event will include raffles, gift basket giveaways, partnerships with local businesses, and food from Firetruck Catering, a local area food truck.

Caldwell’s vision for the salon is grounded in faith, passion, and drive.

“To success and nothing less,” she said with a smile.
