Election season is here again. From Glen Alpine to Long View, more than 40 candidates are on the ballot for mayor, council, or alderman this fall. With early voting set to begin Oct. 16, The Paper continues its series of profiles to help voters make informed decisions.
In Saturday’s edition of The Paper, read detailed interviews with the men and women seeking office in Drexel and Rhodhiss.
In Drexel, incumbents Mayor Dennis Anthony and Alderwoman Jennifer Yount are unopposed, while four candidates compete for two alderman seats.
In Rhodhiss, Mayor Allen Spencer faces no challengers, but three names are on the ballot for two commissioner seats.
Each candidate received the same questionnaire and was given equal opportunity to respond. We’ve published their answers as provided — so you can hear directly from the people who want to lead your community.
Quick Highlights
• Drexel: Four candidates — Scott Coe, Victoria Taylor, Brad Ritch, and David Harmon — competing for two alderman seats.
