A Freedom High School graduate and rising junior golfer at UNC Charlotte, Bock last summer became the fourth consecutive first-time winner of the event who hails from Burke County, following Colton Makowiec (2021), Shane Hise (2023), and Steve Jetter (2024). This year’s annual Burke County Open will be played entirely at Silver Creek as a 54-hole event for the first time ever when play gets underway on Friday, July 24.
