What are your top three priorities you want to address if elected?

Cutting Down on the number of repeat offenders, imposing proper bonds for violent offenders, and expand programs that cut down on recidivism while saving taxpayer money.

What experience do you feel has best prepared you for handling complex or emotionally charged cases, particularly in violent or family-related matters?

For the past 10 years, I have both prosecuted and defended complex, emotionally charged cases. This dual experience has given me a unique perspective to bring to the bench. I have stood beside victims — sometimes literally holding their hands as they told their stories — and, many times, I was their only voice in the courtroom.

Currently, I handle Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency cases, all of which involve deeply emotional circumstances in which DSS has removed a child from their parents due to abuse, neglect, or dependency. My experience in these courts, combined with my experience as a mother, has taught me how to serve as a voice of reason and calm during the most difficult moments in people’s lives.

How do you make sure underrepresented and unrepresented parties feel heard while maintaining neutrality and courtroom efficiency?

For self-represented individuals, I would focus on explaining courtroom procedures and expectations in plain language, while remaining careful not to provide legal advice or favor one side over another. Creating an environment where people understand the process helps cases move more efficiently and ensures that decisions are based on the facts and the law.

At the same time, neutrality and efficiency are maintained by applying the same rules, timelines, and standards to every case, regardless of the parties involved. My experience in District Court has shown me that when people feel heard and respected, proceedings are more orderly, decisions are better informed, and public confidence in the justice system is strengthened.

Why do you feel you are the best candidate for this position? What do you hope to contribute in the judgeship?

I believe I am the best candidate for this position because I bring new energy, perspective, and practical experience to the bench. I have recent, hands-on experience in District Court and the new eCourts system. I am also the only candidate with over a decade of experience in treatment courts as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. Most importantly, I am able to serve the entire term. I hope to contribute a steady, prepared, and engaged presence on the bench — one that values fairness, efficiency, and thoughtful decision-making while earning the trust of the community and all who come before the court.
