Downtown Morganton was the backdrop for the Rotary Club of Morganton’s second annual 1-mile Fun Run and 5K Zombie Run on Oct. 10. Runners braved the weather to try circumventing the zombies. (Freedom High School students transformed via the make-up expertise of Annette Robinson and Lilly Brown.)
Registered runners came from throughout North Carolina, plus Georgia, South Carolina, and New Mexico. This year’s run beneficiaries are Mountain Aid Project and Blue Ridge Community Action, and each organization will receive $10,000.
