Rutherford College has a new staff member at Town Hall.
Kimberly Anderson joined the town staff on July 1 as its utility clerk and tax collector.
Anderson brings a wealth of municipal government experience to her new position, having worked as tax collector and payroll technician for the Town of Granite Falls for a decade.
She also has experience in the furniture industry and in finance.
“I really wanted to come back to local government,” said Anderson of her decision to join the Rutherford College staff. “I enjoy working with staff and with customers in a friendly, supportive environment.”
Said veteran Town Clerk Terra Brieno of Anderson’s hiring: “I think Kimberly will be a very good addition to our office staff and a big benefit to our town.”
Anderson concluded by saying, “I’m looking forward to serving the residents of Rutherford College and getting to know them better.”
Anderson has been married to Doyle Anderson for the past 28 years. The couple has a son, Ian.
