H.S. FOOTBALL: Freedom shuts out Draughn on gridiron

Freedom’s Christian Chapman (22) looks to gain yardage with Draughn’s Bryson Seagle in pursuit on Aug. 28 in Morganton. Chapman ran the ball four times for 44 yards and a touchdown in a game that saw the Patriots total 347 yards of offense. Notably, Freedom quarterback Ryder Huffman completed 7 of 9 passes for 146 yards — highlighted by a 29-yard TD pass to Julius Dominguez (four catches, 91 yards) in the second quarter — while other scores came on a 46-yard run from Jusian Perkins and a 5-yard scamper from Dominguez.
