The Morganton Area Children’s Choir will host an open house and information session from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church, 2239 N.C. 181, Morganton.
The event is open to families and prospective singers in grades 2-6. Participants can learn more about the choir, meet the director, and find out what students can expect from the program.
Regular weekly rehearsals will begin after the open house and will be held from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
The choir gives young singers an opportunity to develop vocal skills, build confidence, learn about choral music, and experience singing together in a supportive setting.
Families interested in attending the open house are asked to register in advance by emailing choir director Dr. Amalie Hinson at amalie.hinson@gmail.com.
