Meet Bagel Bite. Yes, his name is Bagel Bite and yes… he is exactly what you’d imagine: warm, comforting, slightly overstuffed, and best enjoyed on the couch.

This 4-year-old THICC beagle mix is serving up a solid 80 pounds of love, loaf energy, and dramatic sploots across your living room floor.

He enjoys the finer things in life such as fetch (for cardio), walks (for sniffing purposes only), couch naps (his true calling), and existing as a weighted blanket with legs.

Bagel Bite is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative — basically the total package with extra cream cheese. He does well with calm dogs, likes older kids, and would thrive in a home that appreciates a low-riding king with a passion for snacks and relaxation.

Meet Bagel Bite at Burke Animal Resource Center, which is now open at its new location at 636 Kirksey Drive, Morganton. The shelter is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
