AMOREM will provide grief support group sessions at three different locations beginning next month, including Valdese for five consecutive Mondays and Lenoir for five consecutive Tuesdays.
Compassionate Connections: Healing Together support groups are sponsored through Ashewood Grief and Counseling Services, AMOREM’s grief support program, and are among the many opportunities offered to help individuals of all ages and families cope with the loss of people they love.
Healing Together is a general loss grief support group for adults who have experienced the recent death of a loved one or close friend, and the time together during the upcoming sessions will focus on making compassionate connections with others who are also grieving the death of a loved one.
The support groups in Valdese (1721 Enon Road) will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. each Monday starting on Sept. 21 and continuing through Oct. 19, while the support groups in Lenoir (1002 Ashe Ave.) will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. each Tuesday starting on Sept. 22 and continuing through Oct. 20.
Support groups will also be held in Boone (137 Moonstruck Lane) from 6-7:30 p.m. each Monday starting on Sept. 21 and continuing through Oct. 19.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. Contact Kimberly Setzer at ksetzer@amoremsupport.org or 828-754-0101 for more information or to register.
