Burke County families who attended Operation Kids Health earlier this month got a chance to connect with local health care providers, including a team from UNC Health Blue Ridge offering guidance on children’s health and family wellness.
The free community event, hosted by Mountain View Pediatrics and held at the Foothills Higher Education Center in Morganton, brought together families for hands-on activities, educational resources, and opportunities to learn more about staying healthy and safe.
UNC Health Blue Ridge staff participated by sharing information on pediatric services, women’s health and ear, nose and throat care. Team members also answered questions from families and helped create what organizers described as a welcoming and engaging environment.
Hospital officials said the event gave their team an opportunity to connect directly with the community while promoting preventive care and available local services.
The event was part of a broader effort to provide families with access to health information and resources in an informal, family-friendly setting.
UNC Health Blue Ridge thanked its employees who volunteered their time at the event, highlighting their role in supporting community outreach efforts across Burke County.
