Caldwell Chamber targets tourism, business growth in strategic plan

The Caldwell Chamber has identified business development and tourism promotion as two priorities in a strategic planning effort that also examined the organization’s finances, operations, and governance through 2030.

During a recent planning session, Chamber leaders reviewed the organization’s mission of strengthening local businesses and discussed ways to improve its effectiveness and long-term financial sustainability.

One priority is expanding the work of the Caldwell Chamber Foundation, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization that supports business development through programs and community partnerships. The Chamber plans to advance the foundation’s initiatives to create additional opportunities for local businesses.

A second priority is increasing tourism promotion throughout Caldwell County. The Chamber’s board plans to work collectively to market the county’s attractions, businesses, and natural resources to visitors across the region and North Carolina.

The effort is intended to increase Caldwell County’s visibility as a tourism destination and generate additional business for the local economy.

Chamber leaders also discussed governance, organizational accountability, and financial and operational objectives extending through 2030.

The planning session reaffirmed the Chamber’s approach to serving as a catalyst for business growth, a convener of business and community leaders, and a champion for local economic interests.

The Chamber did not announce specific funding commitments, implementation schedules, or measurable targets for the initiatives.
