The award recognizes outstanding educators who achieve success on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. Reddick had been part of FHS girls hoops state titles as a player (1995), assistant coach (2002), and head coach (2016), having led her teams to 449 wins, eight regional appearances, eight FHS Christmas Invitational titles, and both eight conference regular-season and tournament crowns in a head coaching capacity. She has guided the Lady Patriots to streaks of 19 consecutive seasons with at least one playoff win and 12 straight seasons with at least 20 total wins, and has been the recipient of six state coach of the year awards, also coaching in both the East-West All-Star Game and Carolinas Classic. She has also helped 26 of her former players go on to the collegiate level and started the Super Saturday scrimmage event upon being named FHS head coach. Reddick’s players are engaged in the community via supporting initiatives such as Coaches vs. Cancer, Jimmy V and Kay Yow cancer research fundraisers, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Toys for Tots, Angel Tree sponsorship, Read Across America, and local elementary tutoring programs.
