Jessica Browning Schavone

Jessica Browning Schavone, 30, of Fuquay-Varina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 19, 2025.

Jessica was born July 13, 1994, in Morganton, to Heath and Kim Browning.

She completed her bachelor’s degree at Meredith College and her Master of Physician Assistant Practice at Campbell University. Jessica went on to practice with WakeMed’s Urogynecology clinic and AFC Urgent Care.

She married Nicholas Schavone in 2018, and they have one son together, Cameron.

Jess loved life fully. She enjoyed making memories with friends and family the most, as well as reading, gardening, enjoying a latte on the beach, a long hike in the mountains, and throwing the best “Friendsgiving” celebrations every year.

Jessica was notorious for bringing people together and sharing her love of life with them.

She is survived by her husband, Nick, and son, Cameron; her parents, Heath and Kim Browning; her brother, Justin Browning and his partner, Craig Freeman; her grandparents, Judy Peters, Tim Jones, and Margaret Browning; and her aunt, Pepper Dyer.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eddie Peters, Clara Turner, Anna Mae Jones-Benton, and Mack Browning.

Jess was also deeply loved by her in-laws, Peter and Jodi Schavone, and Jackie Schavone Brady and Josh Brady.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Hilltop Church,10212 Fayetteville Road, Fuquay-Varina. Receiving will be held directly following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family via the Everloved website. The proceeds collected via this site will be used to fund service expenses and create a memorial scholarship through Campbell University’s PA Program in Jessica’s honor.

If you do wish to send flowers, the family requests that you use Jessica’s favorite florist, Flowers on Broad Street in Fuquay-Varina.

To know Jessica was to know love and strength. Her presence was a guiding light to everyone who met her.
