Current employer and job title: IPS Team Lead/Supervisor (Individualized Placement and Support) I provide support to a team of Employment Support Professionals across five counties. They, in turn, provide career focused assistance to people living with severe mental health and substance use diagnosis.
How long have you lived in the town/district/area you want to serve? My family and I have lived in Drexel since 2016
Do you own your home? yes
How long have you lived at your current address? We purchased our home here nine years ago.
Why are you seeking election? I am seeking election to the Drexel Board of Alderman to engage with constituents, listen to their thoughts and concerns, and serve my community from a place of compassion and understanding. My goal is to enhance the value of life for all citizens of Drexel and offer a beneficial perspective to the board. I will work with town leadership and law enforcement to create a safer community for all citizens of Drexel. I will also support and work as a team on current and future projects with the board, with the ultimate goal of creating revenue and better opportunities for the people of Drexel.
If elected, what will be the primary focus of your first six months in office? My primary focus will be to listen to the needs of the people and families in our town and be their voice. I will bring their thoughts to the board, and work as a team to find a solution.
If elected, what is the legacy you hope to achieve during your tenure in office? I hope to leave the legacy of revitalizing and bringing back a thriving economy that encourages businesses and families to move to Drexel, plant their roots, and grow to love this beautiful place we all call home.
What are the three most pressing issues facing your community and how do you plan to address them? The three most pressing issues I see, creating a place for economic growth, community relations and public safety. With the industrial site being cleared, it would be a top priority to get some revenue generating businesses on those properties. This revenue would create avenues to make our town safer and provide funding for any upgrades that would make Drexel an even more desirable community. I feel that through encouraging more town events, it would create an opportunity for the citizens to build relationships with their town leadership and public safety.
