THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS: Burke County Poll Worker Appreciation Dinner — The staff and Burke County Board of Elections took time last month to honor their poll workers. After an election in November that brought out more than 75% of Burke County’s registered voters, Kenny Rhyne, elections director, and LH Kirksey, board chair, coordinated a dinner for the poll workers. Local restaurants contributed a variety of dishes and local businesses provided gifts to make the evening a success.
