This class photograph from Forest Hill Elementary School was taken in the 1975-76 school year, the year of the United States’ bicentennial or 200th anniversary. The year 2026 is the country’s semiquincentennial or 250th anniversary, commonly known as “America 250.” Pictured is Mr. Derald E. Hendry’s sixth-grade class. On the front row (from left) are Beth Hord, Karen Surratt, Rickey Avery, David Whitesell, Mike Davis, Timmy King, and Tim Smith.
