The Rock School Arts Foundation (RSAF) at Valdese’s Old Rock School showcases artwork by talented young artists from Burke County in Galleries I and II. Throughout 2024, the RSAF has offered various exhibitions, including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, mixed media displays, photography, and more by local and regional professional artists. As the year comes to a close, the galleries feature the annual Middle and High School Art Competition and Exhibition, where students from each Burke County school present their creations. Winners of the competition receive gift certificates donated by Blick Art Materials, with honorable mentions receiving art supplies. The exhibition, open to the public until Dec. 31, celebrates the creativity and talent of the county's budding artists.
