A Jan. 7 search warrant put a woman behind bars last week, earning her three felony charges and one misdemeanor.
During the search, the Burke County Sheriff's Office seized more than 28 grams of methamphetamine at the residence of Juanita Hensley, 44, of Morganton.

FOR THE PAPER
The Burke County Magistrate charged her with felony trafficking methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a schedule II controlled substance; felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The paraphernalia consisted of digital scales used to prepare and package a controlled substance, according to court documents.
Although Hensley was initially held without bond, the presiding judge set a new bond of $225,000 at her first court appearance. The court also appointed Steven Back as her defense attorney.
Hensley posted bond that same day. Her next appearance is on Jan. 29.
