Your Dream Decor Rentals turns celebrations into stylish statements

What started with decorating her local church has become a full-fledged business for Christie Fries, owner and designer of Your Dream Decor Rentals. Since its launch in March 2024, the event decor rental company has helped clients bring their dream events to life without breaking the bank.

Reflecting on her personal experience as a bride, Fries wanted to provide an alternative route to offset wedding expenses. She decided to rent items to avoid purchasing decor for one-time use.

“It’s a dream fulfilled ... I’ve always loved decorating, I get a rush from it, and I want brides to be able to get things cheap,” Fries said.

The showroom, located on Wamsutta Mill Road, is a curated wonderland of event inspiration, fully decorated with staged visuals for any occasion.

ELEGANCE, ONE TABLE AT A TIME

Your Dream Decor Rentals offers a variety of rentals for all types of occasions — weddings, birthdays, baby showers, and corporate events. The company provides tents, tables, chairs, linens, ambient lighting, marquee letters, tableware, and custom decor.

Rental packages start at $100 per table and include the option for setup and breakdown services. The standard rental period is 24 hours.

“Don’t waste your money going to buy decor for your event,” Fries said. “Come and rent with us.”

Weddings are Fries’ favorite events to style, and she’s already seeing trends emerge in 2025.

“Dusty blue is everywhere this year, and the Boho theme is popular,” she said, describing Boho as a mix of rustic charm, earth tones, and woven textures.

According to Fries, one of her must-have items for any event is candles. They really set a mood, Fries said.

BUILDING THE DREAM

As the business gears up for wedding season, Fries already has two weddings booked for May, four in June, and one in September.

In the future, Fries hopes to offer tote containers labeled with table numbers and a photo of the full table setup, so customers can visualize and assemble rentals themselves with ease.

Fries also shared advice for anyone interested in entering the event decor industry: grow slowly and with intention.

“If someone requests something new, I usually buy ten of everything, because most events have at least 10 tables,” she said. “But don’t rush and buy everything at once.”

To make sure events are seamless, Fries said it’s important to remain calm and make it happen.

“You’ve got to make it happen, even if it’s chaotic,” Fries said.
