The Caldwell Chamber held its first “A Toast to Caldwell” awards celebration, recognizing businesses, organizations, and individuals making an impact in Caldwell County.
The event brought together community leaders, business owners and residents to honor those demonstrating leadership, service and innovation.
Several awards were presented during the evening:
Small Business of the Year: 1841 Cafe
Outstanding Nonprofit of the Year: Shepherds for Sheepdogs
Legacy Leadership Award of Excellence: Dr. Mark Poarch
Community Impact Award of the Year: Communities in Schools
The Chamber also presented Torch Bearer Awards to individuals recognized for leadership and service in the community. Recipients were Carl Beardsworth, Andrew Walker, Kim Anderson, Makayla Pannell, Felicia Stewart, Dr. Jason Chaffin, and Ashley Clopton.
“This event was created to celebrate the people and organizations that make our community exceptional,” the chamber said in a statement.
The chamber thanked sponsors, partners, and attendees and said it plans to continue the awards event in the future.
