The Burke County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting on Aug. 21 for Grace Ridge Ervin Community Room at 500 Lenoir Road in Morganton. Executive Director of Grace Ridge, Mackayla Vance, along with President & CEO of UNC Health Blue Ridge, Gary Paxson, cut the ribbon. Also, in attendance were the management team for Grace Ridge and the executive leadership team for UNC Health Blue Ridge. Morganton Mayor Ronnie Thompson was in attendance, along with Mayor Pro Tem Wendy Cato; Councilmen, Chris Hawkins and Chris Jernigan; City Manager Sally Sandy; Chamber President & CEO Tonia Stephenson; Chamber Board Members, Danette Brackett and Louis Vinay; and Board Member and Ambassador, Ryan Morgan, and Ambassadors, Gerald Greene, Janet Hannah, Lindsey Hazelhurst, Kelly Messenheimer, Gina Setterlind, Logan Smithers, and Samantha Stock. The Ervin Community Room, on the first floor of the Grace Ridge facility, is a beautifully remodeled space that provides residents with a welcoming place to host gatherings and enjoy special events.
