Burke County middle schools reveal 2025 baseball, softball rosters

Several of Burke County’s middle school baseball and softball teams recently announced their 2025 rosters.
Foothills Athletic Conference play begins next week, when there are scheduled to be six baseball games and five softball games involving county squads.
The schedule for Monday, March 3, consists of East Burke hosting Table Rock, Heritage traveling to East McDowell, and Liberty visiting West McDowell in both sports, while the following contests are slated to take place on Thursday, March 6: East Burke at Heritage (baseball and softball), Walter Johnson at Liberty (baseball only), and West McDowell at Table Rock (baseball and softball).
Most games throughout the regular season, which concludes on April 17, will be played on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 4 p.m. The FAC baseball and softball tournaments will be held on April 29 and 30 with all games at higher seeds.
Table Rock’s baseball team captured its first-ever FAC tournament title in 2024 after upsetting unbeaten regular-season champion West McDowell in the semifinals, while West McDowell’s softball team knocked off Heritage in the finals of the FAC tourney after sharing the regular-season title with the Lady Eagles.
Here’s a look at the rosters that have been announced thus far ...
Making up the Raiders’ 2025 roster are Miles Seagle, Sam Elliott, Jace Wilson, Blade Carson, Bentlee Harris, Tripp Hullette, Rhyan Helton, Evan Buckner, Ransom Willix, Conner Kerley, Cooper Ashley, Alex Prestwood, Kaden Hudson, Sawyer Houston, Hank Lowman, Colt Harrington, Greyson Roberts, and Leland Burnside. East Burke’s head coach is Mitchell McGuire.
The Lady Raiders’ roster for this spring consists of Brooklyn Annas, Natalie Baker, Jaiden Bame, Ava Bivens, Lillian Brittain, Braleigh Carswell, Jaelyn Childers, Serena Dellinger, Brie Hubler, Addison Lowman, Harper Lowman, Maggie Mace, Paisley Mooneyham, Makenzii Nguyen, Prayleigh Peacock, Bella Ramirez, Madison Richardson, Emily Shoemaker, and Aubry Smith. Carl Lowman is EBMS’ head coach.
The Eagles’ 2025 roster includes Ian Meadows, Alex Mann, Nolan Russ, Collin Clary, Asher Mishler, Currie White, Ethan Cline, Preston Radabaugh, Corban Mull, Jaxon Hunter, Noah Clark, Anderson Clark, Luke Lowman, Skylar Garland, Dayson Avery, Beckham Edwards, Skylar Abernethy, and Harrison Sigmon. The team is coached by Brian Lowman.
Players for the Lady Eagles this year are Ansley Compton, Emmalin Clark, Ambria Baker, Olivia Miller, Abigail Roper, Marleigh Gidney, Dylan Boykin, Kendalyn Eckard, Ivy Xiong, Emma Edwards, Lainey Sigmon, Rosalyn Pearson, Keagan Sigmon, Gemma Abernathy, and Aubrey Compton. Heritage’s head coach is Doug Webb.
The Knights’ 2025 roster is comprised of Marshall Keathley, Matthew Piercy, Kason Kidd, Chris Bollinger, Jack Jandrew, AJ Duckworth, Cason Scott, Edward Stoudenmire, Judson Wilson, Jackson Puckett, Sawyer Cato, Brody Lorenzo, Hunter Bowman, Cameron Hollar, Hank Ledford, and Hunter Moore. Liberty’s head coach is Nathan Castle.
The following players are on the Lady Knights’ roster this season: Lyrikah Bristol, Finley Duvall, Piper Ellis, Emma Fish, Paige Hennessee, Ava Hensley, Lila Hudson, Jenna Kanipe, Kayden Maines, Malorie Messer, Madasyn Monroe, Desirae Smith, Whitley Strange, Ramsay Toney, and Serenity Waycaster. Hannah Cabe is LMS’ head coach.
The Falcons’ 2025 squad is made up of Aiken Shade, Alexander Hagmann, Ames Miller, Cade Pritchard, Callaway Donnelly, Easton Tollison, Jacob Nile, James Miller, Jaxxon Williams, Landyn Mize, Luke Webb, Spencer Wall, Werner Sahling, Xander Summers, and Jackson Hood. Table Rock’s head coach is Chandler Grindstaff.
The Lady Falcons’ roster for this season is comprised of Aubree Vance, Bailey Heape, Callie Harris, Cheyenne Cooke, Elissa Gibson, Ella Gribble, Hallie Ollis, Harper Best, Izzy Abernathy, Kelly Scales, Lily Thompson, Megan Robinson, Parker Thomas, Sophi Ann Smith, and Sophie Davis. TRMS is coached by Chris Harris.
NOTE: Walter Johnson will not field a softball team this spring and is still in the process of finalizing its baseball roster.
