Waiting for the Train in Morganton Parade

Waiting for the Train, the local organization which hopes to see passenger rail service established between Salisbury and Asheville, with a stop in Morganton, was one of the many community groups represented in Tuesday evening’s Christmas parade in downtown Morganton. The young people in the group were blowing whistles to replicate the sound of a train whistle as they walked.
