New Dimensions Charter School is pleased to announce Dr. James Davis as the new School Director.
Dr. Davis was born in Morganton and has returned home after 28 years. He taught middle school initially, then served as a principal at several elementary and middle schools. Dr. Davis has four college degrees, and all are from UNC-Charlotte. Prior to Morganton, he lived in the Charlotte/Concord area.
“The Board of Directors is excited to welcome Dr. Davis's breadth of experience and education into the Warrior Family. His history of staff empowerment and community involvement in school settings will continue to push New Dimensions forward to be a school where we nurture every student, every day to develop strong character, academic excellence, and good citizenship. We are also proud of every staff member who allowed us the time and patience to find the right fit amongst the impressive pool of candidates. Our leadership, academic, and building teams all stepped up to ensure a seamless transition between directors. We can't wait to see what lies ahead for our students, and we are grateful for every member of our strong Warrior Family!” stated Jamie Smith, NDS Board Vice Chairperson.
Dr. Davis shared, "I am excited to be the new director at New Dimensions Charter School! The students, teachers, parents, and our community have been nothing short of AMAZING! From day one and with every interaction, it has been positive."
