After four months of being closed, Salon 337 in River Village Shopping Center is back in business.
Owner Lisa Rector and her staff opened the doors to their newly renovated hair salon for clients at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4. There is still work to be done, but the hair salon has been working throughout the day to get back to normal operations.
Sitting by the front window at the manicure station, Rector spoke with much excitement about reopening after Hurricane Helene, the journey getting there, and her gratitude to the community.
As she tells her story, she looks around the renovated business as several people continue their work revamping the place.
Her journey had many helpers from rebuilding the business itself to restoring the building.
Their original plan was to reopen on Monday; however, the building had no hot water.
The salon is open Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5-6 p.m., and closed on Sundays. Their new phone number is 828-334-3123.
Rector’s full story will be in The Paper’s Saturday edition.
