Catawba Meadows entrance

The entrance to Catawba Meadows Park in Morganton remains blocked off while the city continues to get ready to repair and rebuild from Hurricane Helene damages.

The largest City of Morganton park, Catawba Meadows, was severely flooded as a result of Hurricane Helene. The park has since been reopened, though some of the athletic fields are still closed.

Barricades along the greenway have been torn down multiple times, according to the city. Officials are asking that citizens stay patient and cooperative for their own safety.
