Crews work to open the wall to the gymnasium in the R.O. Huffman Center, giving guests easier access to the restrooms and other rooms in the community center.
Construction is underway on the R.O. Huffman Center in Drexel, bringing long-overdue renovations to restrooms, the banquet hall, and accessibility. Designed by local architect David Harmon, the project aims to revitalize a key community gathering space by October’s Mega-reunion.
ADA-compliant restrooms and upgraded banquet hall now in progress
Project includes fresh paint, new electrical work, and acoustic fixes
Town received $75,000 in grant funding for improvements
Computer lab updated with nine new units for public use
Future plans include front parking and an ADA ramp to the lobby
