Bluegrass returns to the Old Rock School in Valdese this fall as the 2026-27 Bluegrass at the Rock season opens Saturday, Oct. 10.
International Bluegrass Music Association award winner Authentic Unlimited will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., kicking off an eight-concert season that runs through May 2027.
Advance tickets for the Oct. 10 show are $33 and are available at bluegrassattherock.com or by calling 828-879-2129. Tickets will be $35 at the door.
Season tickets also are available for $215 per person and include admission to all eight performances and preferred seating.

- Nov. 7: Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, $36 advance, $40 at the door
- Jan. 16: Darin & Brooke Aldridge, $30 advance, $35 at the door
- Feb. 6: Lonesome River Band, $30 advance, $35 at the door
- Feb. 20: Unspoken Tradition, $28 advance, $33 at the door
- March 6: The Burnett Sisters, $28 advance, $33 at the door
- April 10: Balsam Range, $40 advance, $45 at the door
- May 15: Seth Mulder & Midnight Run, $30 advance, $35 at the door
Authentic Unlimited includes seasoned musicians, including former members of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and combines traditional bluegrass with a contemporary sound.

The Old Rock School’s 478-seat auditorium has hosted a range of bluegrass performers and offers an intimate setting for the concert series.
Concertgoers also are encouraged to make an evening of their visit by dining at one of Valdese’s locally owned restaurants and exploring downtown businesses.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10.
