The Burke County Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for The Madness — Sushi, Burger, & Bar on Wednesday, March 18. The restaurant is at 133 W. Union St., in downtown Morganton. Front End Manager Danielle Richardson cut the ribbon alongside Mayor Ronnie Thompson, team members, friends, and supporters. Also in attendance were City Council members, Butch McSwain and Chris Jernigan; Burke County Commissioner Chairman Jeff Brittain and Commissioner Mike Stroud; Main Street Manager Makenzie McGinnis; President and CEO of the Burke County Chamber of Commerce Tonia Stephenson; Chamber Board members, Tamika Garrison, Dylan Webb, and Louis Vinay; Chamber Board Member and Ambassador Tammy Lail, and Chamber Ambassadors, Mackenzie Bostian-Adams, Jonathan Craven, Devan Berry, Andrew Dennis, Janet Hannah, Lindsey Hazelhurst, Stephanie Lipski, Kelly Messenheimer, Logan Smithers and Dylan Webb.
