Carolina Caring appoints Christina McNally as President & CEO

A longtime health care leader with ties to the region has been named the new president and chief executive officer of Carolina Caring.

Christina McNally, MPH, has been appointed President and CEO of the nonprofit health care provider, effective immediately.

McNally previously served Carolina Caring in several leadership roles, including executive director of the Carolina Caring Foundation, chief strategy officer, and most recently interim chief executive officer. She brings more than 25 years of experience in health care and human services and holds a Master of Public Health from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

As CEO, McNally will oversee the organization’s clinical programs and support services, which serve more than 11,000 patients each year. Carolina Caring provides hospice and palliative care, primary care and grief counseling across 12 counties in western North Carolina and the Charlotte region.

In her new role, McNally will work closely with the Carolina Caring Board of Directors, staff and affiliated organizations, including Senior TLC/PACE, Caring Seasons Health, the Carolina Caring Foundation, and the Teleios Collaborative Network.

Beyond her role at Carolina Caring, McNally is active in the community and serves on several local boards, including the Hickory Soup Kitchen board, the Truist Foothills Community Advisory Board, and the Hickory Regional Planning Commission. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Valdese.

Founded in 1979, Carolina Caring is an independent, community-based nonprofit healthcare provider specializing in hospice and palliative medicine, primary care and grief counseling for people living with chronic or serious illness.
