Burke Animal Services is at 425 Kirksey Drive, Morganton. The shelter is closed on Sundays and Mondays, and open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The phone number is 828-764-9588.
All cat and kitten adoptions are $20, and include spay/neuter, a one-year rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), standard core preventative vaccines (FVRCP), a monthly flea preventative, and dewormer as needed.
All dog and puppy adoptions are $40, and include spay/neuter, a one-year rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), standard core preventative vaccines (DHPP & Bordetella), a monthly flea preventative, and dewormer as needed.
