Kyle Self pitched a complete game for Post 21 (1-5) in the battle of N.C. Area IV foes, striking out five and issuing two walks while scattering seven hits.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the sixth inning, when Zeb Koone was hit by a pitch to begin the frame before advancing to second on a groundout from Zach Carson and scoring on a double from Mason Mosteller. Two batters later, Mosteller crossed the plate on a two-out single from Cohen Christian.
Mosteller also singled with two outs in the opening inning, while a one-out single from Cannon Morrison in the seventh accounted for Post 21’s only other hit.
