Burke County has sustained its business momentum into early 2026 with the second consecutive month of increased startup activity. According to records from the North Carolina Secretary of State, 58 new business entities were registered in February.

Additionally, a new urgent care facility is set to open on Burkemont Avenue, while Buzze's Creamery & General Store will be relocating from Green Street to Old NC 18 Road, expressing gratitude to the community for their ongoing support.
