N.C. Attorney General Jeff Jackson stands at the podium during a news conference on Monday, July 14, when he announced the state was joining more than 20 others in suing the Trump administration over $165 million in federal funds that had been approved by Congress. Standing with him are (from left) State Superintendent Maurice “Mo” Green, State Board of Education Chairman Eric Davis, and Sandy Ellington-Graves, chairwoman of the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education.

It’s not often that voters actually get what they voted for. So let’s celebrate the loss of funding to the Burke County Educational System. Trump received 70% of the Burke County vote in 2024 as did Tim Moore. Both ran on defunding the Department of Education which is a major source of funding to States and counties. In a sense both voted to “make Burke County Uneducated Again “. Great job!

Appalling loss of funds. Be proud that you have not given into his demands to control education like was done in Florida by DeSantis..
