FOR THE PAPER
Get out your dancing shoes. The TGIF Summer Music Series begins in May.
Downtown is about to sound a lot like summer again.
The 2026 TGIF Summer Concert Series, presented by Case Farms, returns this May with a wide-ranging lineup that runs the musical gamut — from rhythm and blues to classic rock and country.
The free concerts are held Friday evenings in May, June, and July (no show on Friday, July 3), turning downtown into a weekly gathering spot for live music, neighbors and a laid-back start to the weekend. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for an easy, family-friendly evening.
Food and drink vendors will also be on site, offering plenty of options for dinner, snacks or just something cold while you catch the show.
Free admission.
The Paper is a sponsor of the summer music series. Other sponsors are Presenting Sponsor Case Farms, UNC Health Blue Ridge, City of Morganton Electric Department, Urgent Care of Mountain View, COMPAS X-STREAM, United Beverages, Cindy Hogston Real Estate by eXp Realty LLC Asheville, James Tool, KICKS 103.3, Pepsi, and The News Herald.
