Students at Morganton Day School will present a community storytelling program later this month celebrating the voices, memories, and experiences that shape Morganton.
The school will host “Morganton Mosaic,” part of its Front Porch Series, on Friday, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the Morganton Day School gym, 305 W. Concord St.
The presentation is organized through the school’s Middle School Humanities program and features a collection of stories gathered from people in the Morganton community.
Organizers say the project is designed to highlight local voices and preserve pieces of the area’s history through storytelling.
“You are warmly invited to The Front Porch Series: Morganton Mosaic — a heartfelt collection of stories from the people of Morganton,” organizers said. “Join us as Middle School Humanities celebrates the voices, memories and lived experiences that shape our community and preserve its rich history.”
Following the presentation, attendees are invited to stay for a reception with light hors d’oeuvres.
School officials encourage community members, families and local supporters to attend and take part in the event.
