New Dimensions’ Lewis Beck placed third in the boys race as he was the top local finisher on the day individually with a time of 12 minutes, 46 seconds. Also for NDS, Abrahm Shields finished seventh, Diem Nofziger was 13th, and Sawyer Chapman was 15th, while the Morganton Day boys team was paced by Micha Ruechel in 20th place.
Katelyn Stout was the first New Dimensions’ girls runner to cross the finish line, placing 10th. Other local top-10 girls runners included Morganton Day’s Alina Palacios (fourth; 16:20) and Nebo Crossing’s Savannah Mancuso (ninth).
