This map shows the boundaries of the proposed Great Meadows Megasite in western Burke County. The county is hosting a public forum about the site next Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Burke County will hold a Public Forum on August 6 to discuss the Great Meadows Megasite project. The event, open to the public and livestreamed on YouTube, aims to foster transparency and collaboration.
Forum begins at 6 p.m. in the Burke County Commissioners Board Room.
Burke County Manager Brian Epley will present a detailed plan.
Panel includes representatives from environmental groups and Burke Development Inc.
State allocated $36 million for the 1,353-acre site on the Burke-McDowell border.
Rezoning and environmental concerns will be key topics of discussion.
