Gary Paxson, the incoming President and CEO of UNC Health Blue Ridge, shares insights on his personal background, journey into healthcare, leadership style, and vision for the organization in a recent interview with Editor Emeritus Bill Poteat. Paxson's experiences as a registered nurse and as a leader at White River Health System have influenced his collaborative and data-driven leadership approach. As Kathy Bailey prepares for retirement after over four decades of dedicated work, she reflects on her achievements and looks forward to a more flexible role in consulting, all while remaining proud of the remarkable staff she has worked with.
