If 2025 proved anything about Burke County’s restaurant scene, it’s that food remains one of the clearest indicators of local confidence.

The restaurant, located at 2111 S Sterling St., was previously the site of Fatz Cafe, which closed in August of 2023 as the company filed for bankruptcy and closed all of its locations.

Olive Garden is set to open its doors in Morganton in November 2025 at the location previously occupied by Fatz Cafe. Meanwhile, the recently opened ABC Store in Morganton is gearing up for its grand opening event on February 24, after welcoming customers on February 17.
