Funded by a Burke County grant, Repay, Inc. has launched a new group therapy program aimed at supporting parents and guardians of at-risk teens. The initiative, called Parenting For Success, is led by licensed mental health counselor associate Aleea Bone, MA NCC LCMHCA, who recently joined the agency.
The 24-week therapeutic support group is designed to adapt to the needs of participants and address challenges within the family structure. Organizers say the goal is to strengthen families by equipping parents with tools to navigate complex dynamics at home.
The program is backed by a $5,000 grant from the Burke Women’s Fund. Insurance will cover participation for those with adequate coverage. Thanks to the grant, those without coverage may join at no cost.
Referrals are accepted from any source, including self-referrals. To refer a parent or guardian, contact Repay at 828-438-6218, ext. 16, or email Kat Carroll at casemanager@repayinc.org.
