Friends and fans have organized “Your Precious Love – A Tribute to Johnny Bristol” on Oct. 18, 7:15–9:15 p.m. at CoMMA. Bristol’s career stretched from producing Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross to topping the charts himself with “Hang On in There Baby.” Local musicians will bring his songs back to life in what organizers promise will be an unforgettable evening.
Meanwhile, Village Inn Pizza has officially opened a brand-new location at 125 Bush Dr., just off I-40.
The new restaurant replaces the popular longtime Burkemont Avenue spot that closed Aug. 31.
With its famous hot pizza buffet, dessert pizza, and a stacked salad bar, the new Village Inn is already drawing in families and longtime fans. Hours are 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday–Saturday and 11:30 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday.
