Happy Thanksgiving week! There’s still time to pick up a new hobby last week with our D&D 101: Learn to Play Night on Monday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. at the C.B. Hildebrand Public Library.
Finally, before we end the month of YAS programming, we’ve got one more session of D&D @ the Library on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 4 p.m. online via Discord for adults and teens. Pre-registration is required as space is extremely limited.
New players should coordinate with staff for a brief, pre-game session for character creation and campaign information. A free dndbeyond.com account is required for gameplay.
For more information or to pre-register for any YAS programs, contact Lizzie at 828-764-9273 or by email at lizzie.whisnant@burkenc.org.

Due to the Thanksgiving holidays, we will not have our regular storytime programs this week. We will see you back for those next week.
Have you been able to check out our scavenger hunts and I Spy tank this month? At the C.B. Hildebrand Public Library, find all the clues in the children’s area to solve the riddle.
At the Morganton Public Library, kids will find all 13 turkeys to solve the riddle, “What is the best dance to do on Thanksgiving?” Turn in your completed sheets at the circulation desk for a prize.
The scavenger hunts are for children of all ages. One prize per child per month. Also check out the “Foods Edition” of the I Spy tank this month at the Valdese Public Library. The I Spy tank is for children in 5th grade and under.
Libraries Closed
All locations of the Burke County Public Library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, through Saturday, Nov. 29, for Thanksgiving.
