The Caldwell Chamber has announced the people who will be honored during the 64th annual L.A. Dysart Awards.
Sheila B. Burns has been named the 2026 L.A. Dysart Award female honoree, and Larry Chapman has been named the 2026 L.A. Dysart Award male honoree.
Dr. Mark Poarch will also be recognized as the 2026 Visionary Award recipient, honoring his impact and influence in the community.
The awards recognize individuals whose dedication, leadership and community service have strengthened Caldwell County and made a lasting impact.
“This is truly one of the Chamber’s most meaningful events of the year,” said Bryan Moore, president and CEO of The Caldwell Chamber. “It’s an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize individuals whose leadership and community service inspire others and create lasting change.”
This year’s event also will mark a new direction for the L.A. Dysart Awards. The honorees will be recognized during a special dinner event designed to celebrate the lasting impact of the awards over the past 64 years and give the award what organizers described as “the exclusivity and prestige it deserves.”
The program will include a special honorarium of previous Dysart Award winners, and past recipients are encouraged to attend.
The 2026 L.A. Dysart Awards Dinner, presented by The Caldwell Chamber and Duke Energy, will be Tuesday, June 23, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Cedar Rock Golf & Country Club.
The event is open to the community. Seats are limited, and attendees are encouraged to reserve their spots early. To register, visit thecaldwellchamber.com.
