The Burke Arts Council hosted the Carolina Primrose Quartet for a captivating Summer Strings concert on June 28. Approximately 50 attendees enjoyed a delightful evening at the Arts Council gallery, which started with a wine and cheese reception and culminated in a one-hour concert by the talented quartet. Following the performance, an ice cream social on the Arts Council's back porch provided a sweet ending to the event. The quartet mesmerized the audience with a repertoire ranging from classical pieces like Handel's "Hornpipe in D and La Rejouissance" to rock classics such as Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" and The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun." Comprising Daniel Leich (violin and viola), Mari Hashimoto (violin and viola), Vivian Torres (viola), and Zo Taddie (cello), the Carolina Primrose Quartet delivered a memorable musical experience for all in attendance.`
