Morganton city leaders approved $150,000 to support a new downtown restaurant and advanced final improvements at Bethel Park, including a contract for new ADA-accessible restrooms.

The CDBG Small Business Loan program assists Morganton businesses with funding for expansion and recovery. Confusion arose among residents on how the program operates.

In response to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Morganton City Council approved a contract for post-storm cleanup and restoration at various parks, receiving a cash advance from their insurance carrier for storm-related expenses.
