The Hickory Choral Society, a 110-singer choir with 15 members from Burke County, will be hosting several exciting holiday concerts this month. Their upcoming event, "Cookies and Carols: A Festive Event for Children," on Dec. 7 promises a magical experience for families with appearances by The Grinch and Santa Claus, sing-along carols, and more at Ridgeview Community Center. Following this, the choral society will present their annual Christmas concerts, titled "Soundtrack of the Season," featuring choral standards and holiday classics at Corinth Reformed Church on Dec. 13-15. These concerts offer an immersive holiday spirit experience enhanced by an orchestra. Concert underwriters include Lee and Cindy Combs, Elizabeth and Michael Philhower, among others, and the public is welcome to attend these free concerts while donations support the organization's membership benefits and future seasons.
